Oh! what a blessed time shall that be when we shall have mounted above every second cause and shall rest upon the bare arm of God! What a glorious hour when God, and not his creatures the Lord, and not his works, shall be our daily joy! Our souls shall then have attained the perfection of bliss. They shall need no Gabriels there to bring their love-notes from God, for there they shall see him face to face. Here the angels bring us blessings, but we shall want no messengers from heaven then. We use the bucket to fetch us water from the well, but there they drink from the fountain head, and put their lips down to the living water. Here we look to the meat which perisheth, and to the raiment which decays before the moth, but there they find everything in God. Here we must have the help of our companions, but there they find all they want in Christ Jesus. Here we lean upon the friendly arm, but there they lean upon their Beloved and upon him alone. Ours are the alms at the king's gate, but they feast at the table itself. They need no teachers there they doubtless commune with one another concerning the things of God, but they do not require this by way of instruction they shall all be taught of the Lord. They need no social relationship to minister comfort, and whatever happiness they may derive from association with their fellows is not essential to their bliss, for their Lord's society is enough for their largest desires. They need no medicine to heal diseases, "for the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick." They need no sleep to recruit their frames-they rest not day nor night, but unweariedly praise him in his temple. They have no need of raiment their white robes never wear out, neither shall they ever be defiled. Yonder in the better world, the inhabitants are independent of all creature comforts. Despite the movement issues I encountered (I expect to be addressed in an update) this is a highly enjoyable game that will be easy to spend many hours on without realising just how long."The city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it." Overall: I love this game, if you enjoyed the original this nice new spin will delight you, if you are new to the series, no prior knowladge needed but I highly recommend playing the original also (they can play as standalone). This is however where my only gripe seemed to come with the game, sometimes it was a struggle to make the character move or move faster than a slow stroll and required a couple of flicks of the stick to get myself on my way again, then occasionally the character would freeze in place with the game still active however I was unable to interact or move and had to load up my prior save. A GENEROUS FEAST BEHOLDER 2 SERIESThe controls are very simple to learn and remember, keeping it simple seems to be key in this slowly growing series and the controls keep with that philosophy. However the settings are beautifully designed and a great amount of detail has been added all around without compromising the simple design style that we know and love. Visually Beholder 2 is much like the first, sporting the signiture Black & White & Grey tones with big bright white eyes. With plenty missions and mini side quests to go along with your nefarious or legitimate activities, Beholder 2, much like the first, offers hours of great gameplay. Will you plant banned items in their work desk and report them? Or will you befriend and ask them nicely to step aside? The choice is yours but the road to the top is dangerous and long. Using familair mechanics in a whole new way you must reach the top of the ladder and take down whoever stands in your way in whatever manner you see fit. Your father has been killed, you gain a job at The Ministry and you are tasked with finding out what happened. Beholder 2: A Dark, Violent totalitarian game is back! Beholder 2 comes back to us with familiar gameplay, though this time we are provided a new setting with a array of different challenges and a whole new story.
